Optimum Electrics are excited to be recruiting a qualified electrician to join our rapidly growing team based in Peterborough and working on a variety of industrial, commercial and domestic electrical installation projects in the surrounding areas.

The Role and Responsibilities
The first step is to be able to complete electrical contracts safely and in compliance with the regulations and guidelines, to a high standard.
Some of the projects we’re working on include, but are not limited to:
New installations
Landlords Electrical Safety Certificates
New 18th Edition Consumer Units / Fuse Boards
Smart home systems
EV charging points
Maintenance contracts
Periodic Inspections
Job Duties:
Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements
Running tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
Inspecting electrical systems and equipment for damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
Fault finding and diagnosis
Providing professional assessments and advice for customers
Reviewing maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencing work
Managing or working with subcontractors
Training apprentices and/or coworkers
Ensuring all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported
Your Initial Package
Holiday allowance of 20 days, plus bank holidays
Full-time, 40 hour contract position available for immediate start
Standard hourly rates from £17.00
Company van provided, but please supply your own hand tools.
